Like Stars
Your descendants shall be as the stars
They will be more than can be numbered
And as far as men go, they’ll be found
No place of the earth will be void of them
Your descendants shall be as the stars
They will stand out in the midst of darkness
They will shine in the dead of the night
They will twinkle and bring joy to the young
Your descendants shall be as the stars
Their alignment will give humanity direction
They will be the heralds of times and seasons
The sailors will depend on them at sea
Your descendants shall be as the stars
Even in death, they will give light
It will be for them a new beginning not an end
They will be an eternal sign of God’s grace
Your descendants shall be as the stars
They will live above the limitations of the earth
They will live above the pull of death
They will rule in the midst of the darkness
