Get ready for a good shave! Another beautiful month is going to finish with a lot of memories and good music. I hope everyone liked the music shared on Rad Fad Mad this month. Overall November was energetic and I would love to maintain the positive vibrations.

Album arts: (from left to right) Bombay Bassment, Chicano Blues, It’s a Compton Thang, Malibu, Spiritual State, Straight Out the Jungle, The Low End Theory and Vallavan.

This month we played a lot of Hip-Hop music including classics from the West and the East Coast. Chicano Blues by the Funky Aztecs is noticeable in this list because of its significance in the Mexican-American history and the Chicano Movement. Along with the American hip-hop artists, this month I added Yogi B and Natchatra from Malaysia, Nujabes from Japan and Bombay Bassment from India.

Album arts: (from left to right) The Goa Sound, Be the Change, Visions of the Emerald Beyond and Spectrum.

Along with jazzy hip-hop, this month we got some good Jazz-Rock Fusion on our menu. Starting from Billy Cobham and Mahavishnu Orchestra to Prasanna and Elvis Lobo, we felt the power of 70’s rock and the new age pulsing rhythms which made this month electrifying.

Album arts: (from left to right) Dubnobasswithmyheadman, Koocha Monster and Breakthrough.

Following Jazz, we got an Electronic experimental album by The Gaslamp Killer and the most rated techno album by the Underworld. Along with these electronic tracks, I added Nucleya — an upcoming DJ from India.

Album art: Creole Moon

Apart from Jazz-Funk, this month I added a funk album by Dr. John to the list. This album is enough to create a craving for the Bayou grooves.

From the Himalayas to the Savannah, this list includes the best collection from Kutumba and Baaba Maal. Both albums are great traditional compositions and a perfect throwback to the roots. I also added the album — Mohana Murali, an Indian classical by Kudamaloor Janardhanan , perfect breakfast for mind and soul.

Album arts: (from left to right) Mithila, Djam Leelii and Mohana Murali.
Album arts: (from left to right) Dub Side of the Moon, Heart of the Congos, Nepathya and The First Time.

Coming to Reggae, we have a dub version of the Pink Floyd album — Dark side of the moon by Easy Stars All-Stars and finest reggae roots by The Congos. And in pop, we have this gem from Nepal — Nepathya and the smiling tiger in hollywood — Jackie Chan. Some people are not aware of Jackie Chan’s singing career. So we thought of listing his fourth and the first Mandopop album — The First Time. He has released 11 albums so far.

Phew! That’s quite a long list! This month I posted 23 albums of different genre/styles. More good albums are on the way. Stay Tuned!

Have a Nice Day!
