Day 15 — STOP Marketing to Everyone!

This is a LIVE case study where I am documenting my journey to becoming a highly paid marketing consultant by blogging everyday for 50 consecutive days. It’s called “50 Days to Freedom: My Journey to 5 Figures in 50 Days“. At the end of the post, you will find links to all the previous days.

This is a mistake I made for YEARS.

I was willing to talk to ANY business owner who’d listen, because I had what they needed…or so I foolishly thought.

Advertising to “coaches, consultants, authors & entrepreneurs” is NOT a target market. This is something I see often when people are running Facebook advertising.

They all have different pain points & desires.

They all have different wants & needs.

Go deep with just one of them.

Better yet, go even deeper and target “first time authors”.

First time authors have different problems compared to someone who’s published 6 books.

You could even go further and target “female first time authors”

Stop going wide, and go DEEP

Not only will your marketing/advertising slice through the noise like a warm knife cutting into butter, but it’s FAR easier to be a big fish in a small pond than it is being a small fish in a big pond.

You can also command much higher fees as you are now looked at as a specialist, not a generalist.

Day #15 Breakdown

Today is Memorial Day, so not much work was done towards the challenge. A busy day tomorrow with 2 calls scheduled, with a possible third call. Also, will be working on a couple funnels and should be running ads to the first one in the coming days.
