Grey clouds set the stagein anticipation ofnature’s baritone
Inspired by S Lynn Knight’s Storm prompt
Mighty tsunamisThunder, lightning can’t competeWith the siege inside
Hurling spears of lightin thunderous vexation;Poseidon misses.
Wait for it to brew,so you can smell the rainbow, then, drink in the storm.
Endings spawn stories.
When things fall apart, rally—
Rebuild your taco.
In response to S Lynn Knight Prompt:
Antennae perking
By the rustle of footsteps
Suddenly, wind blows
Flash over wet skin
that’s stirred by the rumbling sky
compels an answer
Loud cries resounding
It was heard by nobody
For they’ve become deaf.
snoring on the couch
after trembling through the day(s)
The storm has arrived.
Hearing that lightning strike on
that early hour.
