Why would the Lakers choose LeBron — who has demonstrated no inclination for mentorship — to lead their young team? Why did they punt on LeBron’s first year, filling out the roster with veterans and malcontents? Why did LeBron even join the franchise, knowing the expectations and comparisons the move would engender? Why do they only have, like, two centers?
All for the sake of generating takes. For that, we are thankful.
