Since i am not in most of this week its going to be short and sweet!

Day 1 was mainly about catchup after a Bank Hol. Not as many emails and messages as i was dreading but a lot of things that need chasing or progressing. Time fly’s quickly when you are in teams’ meetings all day? that’s the expression right…

I have also just started a new piece of work and the first meeting was a flytrap for my pet peeves. I got introduced as a developer from IT multiple times despite corrections and i also felt like i was talking to a brick wall about what Service Design is and how i can help.

It was frustrating but it’s about making a name for Digital and showcasing what we do. So, someone having little to no knowledge is an opportunity to make change not one to turn away from. I’m going to make sure to set the best example and really give them something that in future will make them say ‘this was done by the digital team and this is service design’

Day 2 was a festival day (shocker i know). Part of going to all these amazing locations and livestreaming is you need to scout them out beforehand. We went around Ranston estate and the Innovation Park to see some of the locations we could livestream from and to test the connections and tech.

OMG IT WAS FAST! I managed to get over 200+ upload and it blew my mind.

I have been putting off some uploads on my laptop for a week because of there size… Managed to do them in less them 10seconds on this connection. I’m not joking, it’s such a relief to not have to worry about speeds ever! I completely get why people say it is necessity in this day & age.

And thats all for this week! I am off for a long Stag weekend so wish me luck…

Sam out!
