How Far Can Patience Go?
I went into something thinking I would be happy. I thought I was going to be with someone who I could grow with, who would inspire me and who could pick me up when I fall. In the same way, I would be there for him. I did not want anything except compassion, care — and as cheesy as it sounds — love. I…

「倫敦金騙案」係香港由來已久。一直有金銀業既得利益人士阻撈,香港政府從來採取不插手、不規管態度。充其量係「警訊」度呼籲大家要小心,市民仍去幫襯,就各安天命。

Reminds me of when I was sent to Madrid by Shell for 3 months to learn Spanish. Shell was a great employer my expense allowance was equal to the salary of a Spanish general. I decided that I needed practice and that meant girls much nicer than men. I dated 15 girls in the 3 months. Hard work but no hardship. 14 Spanish girls and one from Manila.

Stop spending time thinking about what differentiates you from others and start thinking about what connects you to others. Simple really. My name is Claudia and I have a confession to make. I’m a chronic people pleaser, an obliger, a yes person, which has cost me dearly over the years. Avoiding saying No has led to disappointment and distress to me and those I love by prioritising other people’s needs above my own, causing me to spend money and time I don’t have, and to stay in bad…

Or it will die. We (as humanity) have become increasingly less compassionate and tolerant towards others. This is a “dog eat dog” world, where you’ve got to get where you want to go, without caring about who gets trampled along the way. This is the philosophy now. Things that I would take…
Thank you, Randy for always cheering me on. It means more to me than I can ever express in words.

The time we make a decision is a sacred time. And we should value it more by staying more in that moment. I am a guy who lets his brain boil from pondering, but I got better overtime. If I let intuition do the job more times now, I would be in a different place. Reasoning too much can be damaging in the end, but on the other hand, another good part…

I’m getting married next month to a med student, so I know, first hand, how hard it is. You sound like someone who loves what she does. And when you love something, you always push harder to master it and be good at it.
Nobody is going to do your marketing.

I gotta agree. Eric Berne listed “Ain’t it awful?” as one of the games in his book, Games People Play. His idea was that we played games like “Ain’t it awful?” because it gave us a way to engage in social exchanges without truly sharing ourselves. Games are a substitute (a sorry one) for intimacy, according to Berne.
