I am recovering “to do list” writer too. I still have my lists (my security blanket just in case I forgot something.) but I don’t get anxious about my list or not checking sth. of that list. Instead, as you mentioned I schedule a time to do tasks and put another task on hold to focus on what I’m doing at the moment. It saves time and energy in the long run.
