Snow Today Near Newfound Lake in New Hampshire and Photos
It looks quite wintry today near Newfound Lake in central New Hampshire.
It was about 31 degrees when I got up, and I saw snow accumulating outdoors and on our deck.
After breakfast, I shoveled some snow and swept it off our cars for the first time this cold season.

Yesterday, I took a step toward getting ready for winter (good timing). I retrieved our cross-country skis and poles, snowshoes, hockey sticks and sleds from storage.
I also went skating — my favorite fitness activity aside from playing hockey on a frozen lake or outdoor rink— at the Plymouth State University rink.
I look forward to more snow for downhill and cross-country skiing and other winter activities this season.
