May 2022 — Koinonia’s Recommended Stories & Notes for Writers
Happenings — a monthly update for readers and writers of Koinonia Publication
A note from Julie
Here at Koinonia, we want to help you start your day off just right. Check out our homepage every day for a bite-size daily devotion and stories about God’s love for us. Do you have a devotional time each morning? I confess that some days I read several devotions, and then there are the days… well, I don’t dip my head low to hear Him. Here’s a reminder I encountered this week:
“Read it because it’s manna and you’ve got nothing to give if you haven’t gathered and you have to gather Word-manna at daybreak if you’re going to gain from it the daylong.” Ann Voskamp, One Thousand Gifts Devotional, p. 140.
Join us, won’t you, every morning on our home page for your “Word Manna” to get you through your day.
Sweet Update! We restarted our Writer Interviews this month. Be sure to check out the stories of two Koinonia writers right below our stats.
Quick Publication Stats

Writer Interviews:
Our May Scripture Prompt was Joel 2:25–26
Here’s a glimpse of how this verse spoke to our writers. And I must say, this is the longest list of submissions we’ve had in quite a while. You know what that means? You must read!

In our private Facebook group for Koinonia writers, our writers share their own stories and favorites written by others. Here are some highlights from May’s weekly share-a-thon:
Writers are having a GREAT time in our private Facebook group sharing their work and interacting with other Christian writers. If you’re a writer for Koinonia on Medium and not yet a member of our private Facebook group called Koinonia Medium Publication Writers, you’re missing out! Meet other writers and gain followers, fans, and friends.
If you want your writing featured in the monthly Newsletter, you should participate in this private group or write a post focused on the monthly Scripture Prompt (find the Scripture Prompt post on the Koinonia home page).

Andrea Cannon asked if anyone in the group had experience with Christian Faith Publishing Company? Anyone? Let her know or comment on this newsletter.
