Moving On

Lower than Angels

we came to the forest

in slow pursuit, winding our way

back to the strange experience of realizing ourselves,

wondering

at the animal justice of living

Goodbyes

The sun purred cautiously

and stroked my back with claws now sheathed,

The Last Place

for the first time

we went to the last place,

ocean open,

sight surrounded

by low sky and high cliffs -

somewhere you would stop on your way to heaven

remembrance of the Moon

i died tonight
the Moon my silent witness

Cartographer’s Credo

I love you in the way legends

guess at cities of uncertain location,

with lostness and the permanence of amnesia.

The iridologist, too,

an acolyte of the verses written by flecks of history on the eyes.

Star differs from star in glory.

Elusive 2

Catch the one
You beckoned to fall
Down to you.
It came easily then
Out of the deep black sky.

Too hot, unless you played it
Quickly from hand-to-hand.
Too bright
As it glowed and…

In The Lonely Hour

In the lonely hour

All I can think of is you

Mystical Rider of my dreams whose eminent beauty once assuage my pains

Now, has become the permanent reason behind my heart’s complete brokenness.
