Don’t forget that you are just a human.

We can sometimes think that we are more special than we are. That we are deserving of more glory and more riches in the world. This is our ego talking.

Whenever we think that we’re more important than our fellow man, it’s time to disconnect. Look at the stars. Look at the ocean. Look at the forests hundreds of years older than we are.

We are insignificant… and that could be the most significant thing of all to realise.

Our significance comes not from our presence, but the work that we do. This work, we don’t own. We are merely a vessel or a vehicle through which the work takes place.

That’s why so many people like to disconnect from connectedness to do work. Because it reminds us that there is more to life than “I”.
