As of 11 a.m. today, here’s the snow forecast through 7 a.m. on Mon. Jan. 8, 2024. Maps that cover each of the six New England states and New York are updated several times a day, and National Weather Service forecast offices in other areas also update their maps (see the Winter Weather logo on NWS websites for maps and winter information). Two Winter Storms Expected in the Northeast

After one of the warmest and least snowy Decembers on record in the Northeast, the cold season is ramping up, with two winter storms expected soon.

It was 12 degrees when I got up this morning in central New Hampshire, and it felt quite cold during a post-breakfast walk along snowless landscapes.

While the upcoming storms could bring a variety of hazards, conditions for snow-related sports and activities may improve dramatically.

My Guide to Snowfall Forecast Maps for New England, With Other Snow Information and Photos will help you stay up-to-date on the latest winter forecasts and information.
