Greetings, me lovelies! Can you believe it is already the middle of June? Time sure has a way of getting away from me when I am having fun! How about with you? By the look of things, we’ve been having a ton of fun here at PW this past week. And guess what? It’s that lovely time again. Time for all of you to belly-up to the bar, grab a drink and a snack, and sit back for some PW News and updates! Let’s get into it, shall we?

THANK YOU!

As always, I like to begin these newsletters with a moment of gratitude. Running PW and being allowed to publish all of your amazing stories is what I am most grateful for in my life these days. Your stories never fail to bring me joy and allow me to live out one of my passions — being an editor and publisher. So I want to thank all of you, our writers, for your work and for choosing PW to publish it in. I also want to extend that gratitude to all of the readers out there who subscribe to PW and read our work.

I want to thank our amazing Editorial and Prompt Staff for your hard work keeping the pub running when I am on breaks. Your continued dedication to PW is immensely appreciated. Thank you all so much! My heart is overflowing with gratitude.

💜GATHERING SPACE FOR PW WRITERS AND READERS💜

We have a new gathering space for PW writers and readers on Slack. This is an opportunity for you to be able to interact with me, your EIC, as well as some of the others in the Editorial Team. If you would like to join the Slack Workspace, email me with “Slack Workspace” in the subject line. My email address — ravynehawke@gmail.com

FYI

My Work Hours

I will be available to read, edit and publish your work Monday thru Thursday from 12:00 am — 8:00 am US CDT.

💠NOTE: Marcus aka Gregory Maidman will not be available on June 17–19th. I will be the acting editor and publisher on the 17th & 18th.

The other editors will read, edit and publish your stories during the day as time and their personal schedules allow. None of us are paid editors.

Please give us a 24–72-hour window to get your work published.

💠NOTE: I have made changes to the Submission Guidelines. I have removed the Zero Tolerance policy as I explained here:

PROMPTS

  1. Here is your MONTHLY THEME FOR JUNE

2. All other prompts can be found under PROMPTILICIOUSNESS

3. NOTE: For writers of Haiku, Senryu, Tanka and other micropoetry, all of our prompts can be turned into micropoems.

PROMPTLY WRITTEN FEATURES

NOTE: We will no longer be accepting new features here at PW. Because of the uncertainty with publication formatting, we never know when Medium will force us to use their new format. Should this happen, we will lose all of our feature pages. I encourage everyone who already has a feature page to gather your work in Lists and add those lists to the bottom of any stories you submit here at PW. We do have 17 Features on the Homepage if you’d like to have a peek.
