Get your important things done at this time.

You’re busy — we all are. We dream of doing things that give our life meaning, but we simply can’t fit it in. We all have the same 24 hours. It’s just how we use these 24 hours that determines how much we get out of life.

If you can, try to rearrange your day so that you’re doing your most important things in the morning. It’s been shown that our willpower is just like a gauge. It’s full in the morning and steadily drains throughout the day.

If we’re trying to do more important things later in the day, we’ll find excuses, procrastinate or just feel dead tired. Doing it first thing in the morning instead when our energy is highest increases the chance we can keep at it more consistently.

Whether it’s exercise, building an app or writing, is there a way you can do your most important work earlier in the day?
