Villanelle Poem
The showers fall upon my bleeding heart,
The thing they never tell youIs that it doesn’t stopAnd never slows
In Calvados you have your crossAnd though we won, you most surely lost.Your sacrifice, at twenty-four, to modern ‘wit’Is nothing more than a crying bore.
