197. Start moving in the wrong direction
There is no right direction at the beginning… or 5 years later.
Charlotte and I disagree about many things. One of those things is the approach you should take to be successful.
She says that there’s no point moving if you don’t have a direction. I’m of the opinion that you shouldn’t get it right, you should just get it going.
As with all married couples, we agree to disagree a lot of the time. I’ve come to accept that she’s more right than wrong and that my success in life will only come if I commit to one direction.
But a part of me can’t shake off the fact that I am where I am today because I’ve tried so many things — and failed at them all.
I’ve hardly lived, but I know that there’s a lot to gain from just trying something and putting in some effort.
I think that direction comes from being directionless. You get a view of the landscape and get your bearing. You find your north star.
Move towards it. It might seem light years away, but it’ll take you where you need to go.
