#365DaysOfWriting — Day 218
Happy Rajinikanth, Birthday
Okay, I’ve opened with the usual greeting. What can I say about a demigod? Isn’t there enough said/written about him already? I think I’ll just stick to wishing him a long life, a happy birthday.
I’ll just list out the films of his that I like.
- Apoorva Raagangal – His first role, as a villain to boot!
- Mullum Mallarum – An unforgettable turn as Kaali. Considered by many (me included) to be his finest turn as a pure actor.
- Chaalbaaz – His comic timing and chemistry with Sridevi… too good! Overshadowed the rest of the cast in my opinion, barring Sridevi.
- Thalapathi – The entertainer and actor rolled into one.
- Baasha – Just for the dialogue delivery.
- Enthiran – Getting back to his negative roots with the evil Chitti.
- Kabali – A more restrained, refined performance. Toned down his superstardom a notch.
This is a list that will keep on changing, but for today, this is it. Continue being the way you are Thalaiva. Happy birthday!
