It’s clobberin’ time!
One of the most famous quotes in comic book history, “It’s clobberin’ time!” is a staple of Ben Grimm, more popularly known as ‘The Thing’. He’s a part of the Fantastic Four, in case you were wondering.
It is also a perfect summation of the Indian cricket team’s killer instinct during the tests against England.
What was supposed to be a bore draw at Chennai, ended up being an innings victory for the No. 1 test team in the world. With this victory, India wrapped up the series 4–0, and while I don’t care much for ‘revenge’ in sport, it was a pretty sweet answer to the 0–4 clobbering India received in England in 2011.
It was also clobberin’ time at work.
I’m just on my way home as I write this. To say it’s been a long day would be an understatement. Looking forward to a relatively lighter day tomorrow.
