#365DaysOfWriting — Day 237
The Last Day of 2016
It’s been… an interesting year.
I’m not going to recap this year — that would take too long. What I can do though, is tell you that this year has been the epitome of unpredictability. Last year today I’d just returned after a week from a fulfilling trip to Kolkata. This year I spent the last week slogging away at work — and I know a lot more’s coming my way on 2nd January, 2017. Until then, I can relax and enjoy a little. I began this year a lot differently — different goals, different dreams — and I’ve had to change course midway. Almost midway — second half of the second half of the year.
This year’s ended on a decent note.
More than decent actually.
This book was supposed to be delivered on 16th January. I guess I got my New Year’s gift earlier than usual. Hopefully this kick-starts the New Year on a positive note and helps me work harder toward my eventual dream…
Also, Happy Birthday Sir Alex Ferguson!
“ You are sorely missed.” That’s the understatement of the year. The understatement of the last 4 years, actually. In hindsight, we should’ve probably expected a slump at Manchester United after he left. Anyway, I hope he’s enjoying his retired life. It feels good (and sad) to see him at Old Trafford sometimes — you get the feeling he wants to come out to the dugout himself and control things, the way he used to…
Anyway, I’m signing off now. Have a fantastic New Year’s Eve everyone, and hope 2017 brings you happiness and prosperity.
